How far is LA Dance Dorms from Millennium Dance Complex?LA Dance Dorms is located in Studio City, under 1 mile from Millennium Dance Complex! Walking distance is about 15 minutes. There is also a bus available at the intersection of Ventura Blvd & Vineland Ave, which will take you straight to Millennium in about 10 minutes. It only takes about 5 minutes by bicycle, and 3 minutes by car to get to the studio.

Are there any cheaper rates if I stay multiple months?No, our monthly rate is $995/month no matter how many months you stay with us.

How much will I be charged at the time of booking?Upon approval of your application you will be charged for your entire stay in order to reserve.

Is this a house or an apartment?Our dorms are a bunkhouse, which holds up to 16 dancers.

Are common spaces shared?Yes, all common spaces are shared.

Is there parking available at the dorms?Yes, we do have 5 parking spots available for our dancers, however you will need a LA Dance Dorms parking pass. Please request one after you have booked your stay.

Are the LA Dance Dorms in a safe area?Yes, Studio City is a safe neighborhood, and our dancers frequently walk to and back from Millennium at night in groups.

Is there Internet available at the dorms?Yes, there is FREE WIFI available at the dorms.

How can I get around LA?Metro.net or Google Maps will help you get around in public transportation. You can also rent a car or bicycle. Another option are ride-share services like Lyft & Uber, which are super convenient & affordable.

How far in advance do I need to book?That depends on the season. We do book out fairly quickly in Spring & Summer. You will want to book at least 3 months in advance to secure your spot. Fall & Winter aren’t as busy, especially in winter you can sometimes still book a bed up to a week in advance. We do take short notice bookings, if we have a bed available.

Do items do I need to bring?Please bring your own towels, sheets, pillow cases and toiletry bag. We do provide bed pillow and light comforter.

Do you provide food?No, we do not. You have to buy your own food. However, we do have a kitchenette with appliances, cookware & utensils available for use in our shared kitchen. We also provide any household articles, such as dish soap, toilet paper, etc.

How do I get to LA Dance Dorms from the airport (LAX)?You have multiple options to reach us from the airport: 1. You can take a taxi/cab (approx. $80-100 USD). Takes about 1hr. 2. You can take UBER or LYFT (approx. $30-50 USD). Takes about 1hr. 3. You can get a private shuttle for a flat rate of $85. You can book it on www.primetimeshuttle.com. Takes about 2hrs. 4. You can get a shared shuttle, which costs about $20 and does multiple stops www.shuttletoLAX.com. Takes 2 or more hrs. 5. You can take the flyaway Van Nuys bus, which costs about $8. It will take you to the Van Nuys airport, and from there you can take a taxi, UBER or LYFT to LA Dance Dorms. Takes about 1.5hrs. 6. There is another FlyAway bus ($8/ticket) that takes you to Union Station in Downtown from were you can either take the red line underground metro ($1.75/ticket), which will take you to the North Hollywood train station, and then take a taxi or UBER/LYFT from there. Or you can take the Metrolink/Amtrak rail ($6.75/ticket) from Union Station to the Burbank airport, and then take a taxi or UBER/LYFT from there. Takes about 1.5 hrs.

What is the closest airport to LA Dance Dorms?The closest airport is in Burbank (Bob Hope Airport). It takes about 15 minutes by car to get to the dorms. UBER or Lyft would cost around $7-13. The main Los Angeles airport is LAX.

Is there a minimum age requirement to stay at the dorms?Yes, the minimum age required to stay with us is 18. We cannot make any exceptions, not even with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Where can I eat or buy food & other necessities near the dorms?There are a grocery store, a convenience store, and multiple fast food and full service restaurants & cafes available within walking distance of the dorms. We recommend to download the Google Maps and/or YELP app, which can both show you any type of restaurant or eatery nearby.

How can I wash my clothes?There is usually a coin-operated washing machine and dryer on the premises, which may be used from 7am - 10pm daily. Please bring your own detergent. Or you can wash your clothes at a local laundromat.

How can I secure my valuables?There are individual lockers available at the dorms, however we do not provide the locks. They can easily be purchased at any convenience store, or if you already own one

Do I have to do any cleaning?To maintain the most enjoyable and cleanest environment for your stay, you must you clean up after yourself, wash your dishes, and help taking out the trash. If you do not clean up after yourself, you will be charged a $25 cleaning fee.

Can I receive mail or packages at the dorms?You are allowed to receive packages during your stay, but no mail. If you need to be able to receive mail during your stay you can open a PO Box at a nearby post office.
